I’m Ryan, I love Photography and I love my family.

Having spent nearly 20 years in the photographic industry I know a few things when it comes to taking a picture, and having covered close to 500 weddings in the last 10 years I can safely say that I know a thing or two about weddings. Inviting me along to cover your special day is like having an extra groomsman/bridesmaid, but one with a camera that tells the story of your day.

I have experienced many different kinds of weddings, as small and as intimate as 4 guests to as large as 450, from Christian and Catholic to Sikh, Hindu and Muslim, no two weddings are the same and no story is the same. I will approach each and every wedding in my own special way, a way that you will love. Blending in with the day I go about my story telling, capturing timeless images always putting myself in the right place at the right time to capture the tears, the laughter and those little timeless glances that happen in an instance. There are no set routines, no copy-cat approaches, just the day unfolding and me doing what I do best.

Spending 8 years of my photographic career working on the Football Associations Official Photo Library covering International fixtures all over the world, I approach my weddings in a similar manner to sport, where you only get one chance. Choosing to observe, rather than direct, unless I’m creating some beautiful images of you and your partner or those timeless family group shots, which are done quickly and without fuss. When I’m not at a wedding I can usually be found sat at the side of a football pitch, Premiership or Championship capturing moments for the National Press, or just hanging out with my family…they are great after all!

Its not just my bride and grooms that love my work, over the years I have won many awards both Nationally and Internationally with one of the highlights coming in 2010 with The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association when I won the title of “UK Artistic Wedding Photojournalist of the year″. Having achieved this, I also became the first UK member of the AGWPJA to finish in the top three of their global competition, quite some achievement. Every year more and more awards are added to the list, who knows the next award could come from your wedding!
