Fischer’s Baslow Hall is a great setting for a small wedding, with its Michelin Star restaurant the location and food are second to none. Anna and Paul had chosen Baslow Hall for their reception, which was just a short drive from one of my favourite Churches, even though there are restrictions on the photography. St Nicholas Church is set in one of the most beautiful of locations on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Below you can see some images of Anna and Paul’s wedding.

Cressbrook Hall is the perfect wedding venue for small to large weddings. On the 2nd of April I had the privilege to cover the wedding of Alison and Ben. This is Ben’s family home and it can be used for weddings. The day started off with a Church service at the Holy Trinity Church in Ashford-in-the-Water followed by a champagne reception in the stunning grounds of Cressbrook Hall. Below are some images of their day.

My first Swinton Park wedding of the year started off at the St John the Baptist Church in Penistone we then had a good drive up to the fantastic Swinton Park. Swinton Park is another venue where I am recommended and actively promoted. One of our sample albums can be viewed here. Below are some images from the day.

Rudding Park winter wedding photography can be a real challenge with the limited light that is available at this time of year. Having worked at this venue dozens of times and being a recommended photographer for the venue, it was not a problem for the wedding coverage of Alison and Marcus. In fact having been named as one of the top 10 UK Winter wedding photographers last year by Professional Photographers magazine, it is one of my favourite times of year to cover weddings. Below are a few images from the day.

The results are now out for the Wedding Photojournalist Associations annual contest, the fourth quarter of this competition is always the most difficult to get any image placed due to the large number of photographers from across the World entering. The 2010 Q4 Contest showcases the wedding photojournalism of WPJA members throughout the 2010 year in 18 categories. From 24,112 entries only 360 finalists were selected. I am very pleased to find out that one of my images placed first in the musicians and DJs category. The image was shot at the wedding of Rachel and Billy back in December, their wedding took place at the fantastic Thornton Manor, one of my favourite locations. The image can been seen below.
