Castle Howard Wedding Photographer | Laura and Daniel

Laura and Daniel chose the majestic Castle Howard for their wedding ceremony and reception.  A magnificent 18th century residence set within 1,000 acres of breathtaking landscape in the Howardian Hills, its grand space, elegant rooms and sweeping parkland makes being a Castle Howard wedding photographer a dream job.

Laura got ready for the ceremony at the nearby Talbot Hotel, its pretty location and excellent customer service have recently won it Yorkshire small hotel of the year. Laura looked amazing in her dress (Senorita by Caroline Castigliano) and shoes (Benjamin Adams).

Make up was expertly applied by Aimee Long.  All this was exquisitely complemented by her bouquet of red Grand Prix roses provided by Castle Howard florists ‘Queens Flowers’.  Laura was attentively looked after by sister and maid of honour Jenny.

In fact the wedding party was a real family affair with Daniels Dad John as best man, and brother Jonathan as usher.  Wedding transport for Laura and Daniels guests was in the form of a 1951 Guy Arab III Yorkshire heritage bus!

Laura and Daniel were given use of the Great Hall for their intimate ceremony and reception.  The Great Hall is the crowning masterpiece of the castles design.  The 70ft dome can be seen for miles around giving the castle its unique silhouette.  The domes interior is decorated with columns, carvings and painted frescos.  Interiors like this make wedding photography at Castle Howard a real treat!

After the ceremony guests were given hibiscus champagne cocktails before enjoying a sumptuous wedding breakfast.  Speeches were spread out over the course of the afternoon, with father of the bride before the wedding breakfast and Groom and best man speeches after.

The weather on the day was lovely and sunny in the morning and whilst it was a little overcast in the afternoon we were treated to a beautifully timed rainbow just after the confetti was thrown!

First dance was ‘cheek to cheek’ with musical accompaniment by Frankly Jazz.  They then went on to provide much enjoyed entertainment for Laura, Daniel and their guests the rest of the evening.  Celebrations were bought to a head with a gorgeous sparkler departure giving a magical ending to a perfect day.

A friendly, warm and intimate wedding, a simply stunning venue with a joyous send off!  Congratulations to Laura and Daniel for getting married and creating such a wonderful day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember.
