Delamere Manor Wedding Photography: An Autumn Wedding

When opportunities come along to shoot at Delamere Manor in Cheshire, I am always delighted because it is such a great venue.

Some people know it as the country mansion where Take That’s Gary Barlow once lived, but it’s the privacy and exclusivity of the 100-acre manor house in Cuddington that made it the perfect choice for Kate and Grant’s autumn wedding.

On the day, Kate got ready in Delamere Manor’s bridal suite and was in good hands with her lovely mum, her attentive bridesmaids Vicki and Emma and gorgeous flower girl Mia.

Kate’s stunning dress was designed by Sophia Tolli and the bridal parties make up was expertly applied by make-up artist Maxine Smith with hair by Tara and Kevin from Sasa Hair.

Before the ceremony I also made sure I got some shots of Grant and the groom’s party, which consisted of best man Danny, ushers Scooby and James and two very handsome pageboys – Toby and Seamus.

The ceremony was held outside on the terrace at Delamare Manor overlooking the lake.  Now, opting for an outside wedding in October may, by some, be seen as brave. But not these two.

Hardened backpackers Kate and Grant spent three years travelling the world so tying the knot outside seemed entirely appropriate. The gamble paid off as the weather was perfect.

Now, as if little Mia, Seamus and Toby weren’t show stealers enough, the role of ring bearer was held by Shanti the poodle.  A quirky and utterly delightful touch!

After a beautiful ceremony with some exquisite musical accompaniments, there was the confetti moment (with natural petal confetti supplied by Shropshire Petals and made with Kate’s dried valentine roses). In fact, all the floral arrangements and bouquets on the day looked great and were provided by Springbank Flowers in Manchester.

After a drinks reception Kate, Grant and their guests enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast provided by the amazing caterers at Delamere.

It’s the little touches at weddings that really show the couples personalities and at Kate and Grant’s they showed their shared love for adventure and travel by naming their wedding tables various mountains that they plan to climb together. Ambitious plans for the pair who met 17 years before at a skate park. He the pro-skater, her there with her friends.

Speeches were by Kate’s dad, best man Danny, bridesmaids Vicki and Emma and lastly Grant, all of which were rapturously received.

Now the first dance was a real treat.  Kate and Grant had secretly been having dancing lessons so wowed everyone when they did their first dance to ‘9 Crimes’ by Damien Rice.  Kate showing particular skill as she had never done the dance before in her dress!

It was a wonderful start to the evening reception that saw Kate and Grant quickly joined on the dance floor by family and friends.  There followed a wonderful evening of dance, traditional stone baked pizzas and lots of delicious wedding cake (made by Bloomsbury Cakes)

To further display their eclectic taste in music Kate and Grant insisted the last dance was to Dolly Parton’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ which seemed a fitting song to close the story of their amazing wedding day.

A fun, stylish and unique wedding at a stunning venue.  The privacy of Delamere Manor gave them the opportunity to create a really fun and personal wedding day.

Congratulations to Kate and Grant for getting married and creating such a wonderfully personal wedding day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember.

I hope my images will help you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
