Nadia and Greg chose the magnificent Cathedral of the Dormition and All Saints in Knightsbridge, London for their traditional Belarusian wedding. A beautiful and ornate grade II listed cathedral with a rich history. It was built in 1849 by Lewis Vulliamy and is modelled on the eleventh century basilica of San Zeno Maggiore in Verona, Italy. This stunning cathedral thrives today as it remains a significant place of orthodox worship in London.
Nadia, who got ready for her wedding at home, looked amazing in her Isabella Grace Dress, with make-up exquisitely applied by Amanda Roberts. Nadia was attentively looked after by maid of honour Marina. Whilst Greg was in the hands of best man / usher Julian.
The sun shone nearly all day which gave me plenty of opportunities to take some lovely shots. After the beautiful intimate ceremony Nadia, Greg and their guests headed off to the reception at the Dorchester Hotel with the newlyweds arriving in style in a classic Bentley!
The Dorchester in Mayfair is one of the world’s most iconic luxury hotels. So it is always an honour when I am invited to shoot Dorchester Wedding Photography. Since its opening in 1931, the hotel has consistently hosted royalty and political leaders from all over the world, giving it a worldwide reputation for luxury and excellent service. It really is one of the most elegant addresses in London to celebrate a wedding. All this must have seemed a long way from Nadia and Greg’s first date, which was a blind date set up by mutual friends!
On arrival Nadia, Greg and their guests enjoyed a champagne reception on the hotels open terrace, this was followed by a sumptuous four course dinner and speeches provided by Greg’s elder brother and father.
A small, intimate and stylish wedding, a beautiful ceremony followed by an elegant reception at a breathtaking venue. An opportunity to shoot Dorchester Wedding Photography is always a real treat for me.
Congratulations to Nadia and Greg for getting married and creating such a memorable day for yourselves, your families and your friends to remember.
