Mina and Harry enjoyed an amazing wedding at Duncombe Park – a wonderful historic, stately home in the picturesque market town of Helmsley on the edge of the North York moors.
Duncombe Park is always a stunning setting for a wedding – set in enchanting 18th century landscaped gardens and surrounded by rolling parkland punctuated with temples. The building is also filled with natural light ensuring wonderful opportunities for wedding photography.
Mina and Harry met in Croatia and cruised a yacht across the Adriatic Sea together in 2014 – that’s some first date! Their international love affair has included travelling to and from the UK and Canada, as well as meet-ups in Greece and Paris, with Harry getting down on one knee to propose at the CN Tower in Toronto.
The pair now live in Canada but still have the travelling bug and chose to have their destination wedding in North Yorkshire as Harry grew up in the area.
The day began with the bride getting ready at the Feversham Arms Hotel – a luxury retreat in the heart of Helmsley – with makeup artist Jenn Edwards putting the all-important finishing touches to the stunning bride.
Mina looked wonderful in her dress by leading Israeli dress designer Inbal Dror, alongside her lovely bridesmaids Chloe, Natale, Galine and Sareen, and maid of honour, Shreen.
The groom meanwhile, with his best man Thomas and groomsmen James, Brett, Matthew and Cameron, was getting prepared for the big day at a cottage in Thirsk.
Transported by American Pie wedding car experts, the pair’s romantic ceremony took place at St. Marys Church in Thirsk, a grade I listed building, with Kymm Queen, freelance artisan florist, creating the perfect floral wedding displays and bouquets.
Their gorgeous Yorkshire wedding reception at the magnificent Duncombe Park included amazing food and drinks from The Yorkshire Party Company, as well as middle-eastern desserts from a bakery in London called Patchi.
Mina and Harry’s Balloon Release with their wedding guests at the front of the home was a lovely idea and proved to be a fantastic sight.
As the evening arrived, so did further opportunities for some magnificent photography with Mina and Harry enjoying a leisurely stroll across the magnificent terrace and around Duncombe Park’s elegant circular temples.
Their first dance, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, looked amazing with the backdrop of the venue’s decorative styling, and it didn’t take long before all their wedding guests joined in the fun.
It was wonderful working alongside international wedding videographer Emma Wilson from Story Of Your Day at this wedding, and I am delighted to share Mina and Harry’s wedding trailer below.
It was a truly splendid wedding and it’s fantastic to hear Mina and Harry love their experience with Ryan Browne Photography too..
“It was very comforting to have Ryan shooting our wedding as he made sure to capture it all! He was very well-dressed, so he blended into our wedding party very well. He is very experienced and it shows. This was crucial for the wedding as we had many different settings/moments and he guided us through each of those moments.”
“We really loved his passion for photography, that really stood out on the day. Ryan was able help us make the most of the different lighting conditions throughout the day, take control of unruly guests wandering into our photoshoots and he also worked very well with our videographer. We highly recommend Ryan Browne to anyone looking for a top-notch, professional wedding photographer.”
