I photographed a marriage proposal at Swinton Park in North Yorkshire – a 200-acre estate with a landscape park laid out in the 1760s.
One of the loveliest features in the gardens is the Coffin Pond with its stunning colours and nature gracing the waters, a stone bridge and Saxon stone coffins laid out beside the boathouse.
This is the place where Conor decided he wanted to propose to Francesca.
I made my way to a spot beside the coffin pond, hid in the bushes and waited for the couple to come along. I stayed hidden until after he popped the question.
The result is a great sequence of images and I am delighted to reveal that she did say yes!
