Temple Of The Four Winds Wedding, Castle Howard | Catherine and Gofannon

Catherine and Gofannon chose the stunning Temple of the Four Winds within the majestic grounds of Castle Howard for their small elegant wedding ceremony. I always enjoy photographing a Temple of the Four Winds Wedding as it is such a unique venue, approached along a statue-lined grass terrace, this charming and elegant 18th-century pavilion manages to be both spectacular and intimate and boasts impressive views across the surrounding countryside.

Catherine prepared for her big day at The Talbot hotel in Malton. A small and elegant Grade II listed hotel nearby. On arrival, Catherine complimented her surroundings perfectly by looking stunning in her Pronovias dress and Manolo Blahnik shoes with make up being done by Emma Milner. Her attentive bridesmaids were sister Caroline, cousins Sian and Lizzie (flower girl) and best friends Aimee, Georgina and Nikki. Elegant flower arrangements were provided by Kymm Queen.

As if the environment wasn’t salubrious enough, the couple hired the northern string quartet to play at their ceremony.

This is the 2nd time I have photographed in this stunning location and Temple of the Four Winds Weddings are always a pleasure to shoot. As a Castle Howard recommended photographer nobody has covered as many weddings as me at this amazing venue, 16 to date and counting. Knowing the best locations to shoot in any given lighting conditions is invaluable at Castle Howard due to there being so many beautiful areas of the estate.

A lovely couple and a truly elegant wedding. Congratulations to Catherine and Goffanon for getting married and creating such a memorable day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember.
